I absolutely need this clip in my life. I just did it (through "demon flight" switch skill) and I need to watch this everytime before I go to sleep.

I am going to attempt making one if no1 has any.

2022.01.25 17:22 bpfoto Electric Kitchen Composter for meat/dairy waste?

Does anyone have any advice on electric kitchen composters, like Lomi?
I live in Los Angeles and they now require all organic waste (including meat and dairy) be put in the green bins for composting (along with usual green/brown yard waste. At home electric kitchen composters are very pricy, so I wanted to get everyone's opinion of what I should do with meat/dairy waste. Help!
We currently compost outside most of our yard waste, but I shudder at the thought of the vermin that will be attracted to the bones and rinds now put in the green bins.

2022.01.25 17:21 papppppp1998 Letting patient's brother in the OR while patient undergoes Exp laparotomy to show him operative findings.

Background: patient underwent Exp laparotomy+ ileostomy for ileal perforation, reversal done after 3 months. 3rd POD after reversal there is fever and distention( USG showing free fluid and collection), decision to re-explore is made with suspicion of anastamosis leak.
Patient's attendants get aggressive and fussy and all. On re exploration the anastamosis was perfectly fine with a pinpoint perforation near the anastamosis site. Surgeon calls patient's brother to OT(without contaminating the sterile field ofc) to show him the operative findings and do some counseling. Does this kind stuff happen in your setup as well? and do you guys think it's appropriate to do so?
PS.Primary repair of the perforation was done and it worked.

2022.01.25 17:21 oldboysenpai Next Bike and Thoughts...Suggestions for second or a replacement.

I try to take one long trip each year, but also ride 3 or 4 days a week all year. My current bike is a 2018 BMW GS...looking at alternatives to this and something tour capable, but something I can strip down to ride on short trips. My current possibilities are staying with BMW with the GS or XR, looking at a Triumph, Indian, Moto Guzzi or some other option I haven't considered. I'd like to go more street capable, but want a mix of performance, fun and comfortable enough for someone well over 6' to tour. The height and my size led me toward a GS, but I've been on these for a few years and just want to look around.
Thoughts or suggestions? I'd prefer to be in the 600 pound range and would like something faster than a GS, but still comfortable. The budget matters a little, but isn't really a consideration unless the price starts running into the obscene. I've also considered a second bike and make not attempt to find a single replacement to be everything....this may be the final choice.

2022.01.25 17:21 postvasectomy Comments in response to "How a male vasectomy works" video

The comments in response to this animated video of a vasectomy procedure are interesting. There are many, many people here who clearly are realizing for the first time what a vasectomy means, physically. Many are saying that watching the video made them feel ill. Many are asking where does the sperm go. Many are wondering how in the world such a surgery could possibly be reversed. Many are saying that there is no way they would ever volunteer for this, especially now that they see what it entails. Apparently there are a lot of people who do not realize just how much tubing is cut away during a vasectomy.
Some comment to say that their vasectomy was painless. Many are comment that their vasectomy was quite painful. Some say that there was pain, but that it was worthwhile.
Some of the comments come from people with experience with PVPS.
Was absolutely not painless for my husband. Total nightmare for years. I should have had my tubes tied.
He was part of the very very rare complications. The procedure took 3 times as longer then planned, excruciating pain for 3 weeks and then Epididymitis 5 times in 3 years. ER for morphine each time. After the last one, it was recommended he have it reversed.
Basically a bacterial build up. Instead of the sperms absorbing they built up causing an infection.
We never got as far as what they would do with the reversal. Thankfully the last round was a few years ago so we hope his body finally figured it out lol.
After vasectomy my right nut hurts and feels a heavy dull pain. Just randomly. Maybe it hernia. Had a ultrasound because I thought tubes where tangled on clip or there was a lump or blockage on top of testicle. It’s annoying.
Painless? NO FKN WAY!
I made the vasectomy 10yr ago, and felt pain for about 2yrs. LOADS OF PAIN.
The doctor said it happens on 1% of patients, and of course I'm the lucky one.
My local barely worked, and neither doctor nor nurse believed me. I fucking felt everything and was ready to puke all over them from pain. Been 8 months and my shit still randomly hurts doing things that never hurt before. Getting off feels completely different than it used to. Seeing shit like this video acting like there's nothing to it and nothing ever goes wrong boils my blood. Found out after I had mine that there's a chance that your can end up in unending debilitating pain from getting one and the only possibility for relief is trying to get it reversed. Neither doc nor urologist said shit about it
I wasn't thankfully, though I've had some other complications that I wasn't told about until after the fact when I asked my doc about pains. It's more the fact that everything I was told and information I was given basically said no worries, nothing goes wrong, you won't feel anything, and none of the possible downsides (other than it naturally reversing) were talked about, even after my asking what the downsides could be
Just want to say here that a vasectomy isn’t easy or “painless”. Maybe for some people it is. But I find this narrative so prevalent and so not true. Personally it took me over six months to completely recover from my vasectomy. There was a lot of pain involved and there still is some pain to this day nearly a year later. I don’t regret getting the surgery but I’m really sensitive now to this narrative that having your genitals modified is somehow easy and painless.
Personally had ball pain for almost 6 months. Hear that im one of the unlucky ones though....
It is but knowing a guy that had it done who was in pain for many months, I’m talking openly crying hard at the pisser from the pain, I wouldn’t reverse it, just get it done when sure your done with kids
Mine took a year and a half. I think it was caused by the doctor having to pull really hard my Vans to get it far enough out to make a clean cut. I really think he tore some connective tissue.
Anyone else have blue balls syndrome? i.e. when you don’t come after a few days and it swells and hurts? (Usually 3-7 days, depending on testosterone if I had to guess)
Honestly, I had to masturbate against my will in public toilets so many times—it hurts all the way back to my lower back
Yes, I saw the doctor and apparently it’s varicocele (approx 20% men have it), but it doesn’t always mean you will feel this)
I just want to know I’m not alone :’(
Yeah took me like 6 months to feel better. They get sore if I don’t keep a regular schedule too now… so to speak.
My dr warned me that there might be random pain after for no reason. He said he had one patient they had to remove his testicle and that finally got the pain to stop.
I actually had occasional pain for the next year.
I’m 39. Long term effects? My balls are more tender. I can’t pound my wife doggy style with balls slapping, as hard as I could before. Same wither her sucking them. It hurts a bit now. But, overall it was worth it. The feeling of being able to have unprotected sex without worrying about getting her pregnant is priceless
From experience, a dull sensation, like right after you get hit in the nuts but before the full on terror, is VERY common. It never goes away. They won’t tell you because the male procedure is still preferable and safer than the female procedure. Sucks.
The sole reason I did mine was so my wife wouldn't need a tubal. It hurt. I'm 7 months out and still have pain. Probably less than she'd have though.
I have a friend of mine that hasn't been able to achieve an orgasm since 2007, after he had a vasectomy. I don't know if that is mental or physical, but fuck having even a 1% chance of that happening.
I highly advise you do your research before doing this. When I got it doc said “almost no one has long term pain” “pain after procedure is normal and go away within a few weeks” got it done. 7 years later I still have pain. After a year I did research on it. More men have post vasectomy pain than what was told to me. Personally never had a problem before. If I don’t ejaculate within a couple of days, it hurts. It’ll randomly start hurting and it causes what mimics an infection. Went through a battery of STD tests and nothing there. Have to go on antibiotics to reduce swelling if if it gets too bad. There are benefits, but there are also complications. Not saying you’d have this but do research, ask the doc questions, get another doc to answer question. That’s my personal experience, results may vary.
My balls will randomly get sore, often if I’m not wearing tight-fitting boxer briefs. I used to wear regular boxers before the surgery and never had that happen, so I know it’s due to something with the surgery. I read some high percentage of guys have life-long discomfort or pain and it’s not necessarily dangerous, just annoying.
I’ve have had it done, a little sore at first but bigger picture not that big of a deal but what they don’t tell you is that it speeds up ED
After my vasectomy I noticed a diminished orgasm, anyone here experience that ?
I have the same problem. It was really bad for about 4 months, but it has mostly gone away at this point. Flare ups are rare, every few weeks, and only last a few seconds. But this is way better than the hell birth control put my partner through.
*for most people.
I'm one of the I assume .000001% that have noticed very stark differences in my production and sensation.
I have that exact thing, right side. Really sucks sometimes when I sneeze.
Been like 12 years or so. It's not constant or debilitating, just an ache every now and then that wasn't there before. Could also just be getting older lol.
8 years later I still get that pain sometimes lol
This is NOT a painless procedure and I wish I had Never done it
I had the same issue for about a year or two, but then it went away. Random dull achy pain in my left nut. Also it hurts more when I get hit in the nuts by my kids, but that just reminds me I made the right decision!
I had mine done in 2016. I had a baseball sized hematoma and a sperm granuloma about half that size afterwards. Those healed but I've been in chronic pain ever since. I've had 3 opinions so far and no one has found anything. I can no longer run, or jump, anything that jostles my body is painful. It feels like I'm getting kicked in the balls constantly. At times I have random sharp debilitating pain in my abdomen where about where the testes had descended.
I got a surgery to fix it in 2017 by the same doctor and it made things even worse. I've been on just about every painkiller I could get and nothing helps. There are days I can't get out of bed. I guess there's a 2-5% chance of this happening, I just got super lucky.
I have similar symptoms on and off over the years and was diagnosed with congestive epididymitis. Antibiotics help clear up recurring episodes.
Not painless. I'm 9 months post vasectomy and still dealing with pain. I'm one of the unlucky few who get PVPS, which doctor's do not understand and have very limited recourse to fix. I can either get another surgery to try to cut out the nerves(~75% chance to help but could do nothing), fly to Florida to get cryoablation(same as above but with freezing instead), a reversal(only effective if its something like epydidimal congestion) , or removal(which includes a lifetime of hormone replacement therapy).
Just take time to understand the risks, it's a depressing and very painful syndrome if you're unlucky. It caused a lot of strife with my wife and has severely diminished my quality of life. I've had to tell my 4 year old several times that I just can't play with him sometimes or take him for bike rides anymore.
Been dealing with it for 9 months, mine comes and goes, sometimes gets so bad that I can't walk. Mine just recently switched from right side to left side hurting more but fortunately haven't had so bad I can't walk pain for over a month.
You give me hope! I'm at 9 months and while I still have pain, it has lessened from the debilitating, I can't walk, Level it used to be. I went and saw a specialist about 2 months ago, he recommended microdenervation surgery. Since then I've noticed a gradual decline in my peak pain levels and have had more days in a row with mild to minimal pain. I am going to wait and see if it returns to being super painful before I move forward with surgery.
This is exactly how I feel. Perfectly describes the random pain I occasionally have.
I had chronic pain for years after mine. Had a second procedure to try and stop the pain called an epididymectomy which was 10 times more painful and I was in bed in agony for 10 days. After all that it still felt like I’d been kicked in the balls for three years. Took Norco daily, tried nerve blocks and everything else. 8 years later, I only sometimes double over in pain, otherwise the procedure was quick and easy!
The explanation was “sometimes that happens.” I think it’s something to do with nerves and your brain is trying to get your left nut on the phone, but he ain’t answering and your brains freakin out man like a psycho stalker girlfriend and starts blowing up the phones of everyone close to Left T cause he totally ghosted the brain and all the nerves around it are like “WTF man, I didn’t sign up for this!” so the brain is like , “fuck all y’all! I’m sending the PAIN!” and it just hurts… but I’m not a doctor or nothing
My buddy had 6 months of pain. Not always so painless.
I had the exact same pain after mine vasectomy.
Ultra sound on my junk and everything.
I had to have another operation to block a nerve that goes onto the right nut. Still hurts randomly.
The Dr told me they may have to remove the testicle to make the pain go away…. I haven’t gone back. That was however 3 years ago and it was a Navy Urologist who told me this. So maybe a competent urologist would have something else to say.
There was this guy who had vasectomy and sperm somehow was getting into his blood stream. NOT fun, he was in a constant chronic pain and could not function. He didnt have funds to revers/fix the issue. He committed suicide. It was fuck up... so don't go cheap when it comes to it.
Same. Mine was legit painful at first now it's just a dull ache. I notice it feels way better after a monster, across-the-room nut. It get irritated by the vibrations of my motorcycle.
The procedure is not painless; from experience the pain lasted from 2011-2015. No lie; I would not recommend it for several reasons.
In general, a slight increase. I don't like fondling. During sex, I do not notice. The squeeze seems to be the problem, not the slapping.
Amen. Mine was almost 20 years ago and it's was the most painful 40 minutes of my life. I couldn't walk for 3 weeks and I needed a cane for a year. I still have lingering pain.
Edit, and same story here with the anesthesia. I felt him snip my bag and the tugging sensation felt like the end of Braveheart.
Painless. Yeah. Right. Lol over 2 years later and I still get random pain in my ball bag like someone just flicked me in the nut.
My cousin lost his balls to a mistake in this.
Daily bike commuter here, and vasectomy "recipient." If you're considering a vasectomy, research the options. A titanium clip is not the only way and I wish my urologist had discussed the options and long term effects of this particular titanium procedure. Dull, nearly daily throbbing pain, and when I ride to/from work, I have to be very careful where and how I sit.
Found out right before my surgery that there is an option to use silk, permanent stitching, rather than the titanium clips. The urologist stated that silk is less effective, and therefore discouraged its use. He also said that stitches were the method of the past; titanium the future. I have since learned that yes, titanium is more effective (i.e. less chance of sperm entering the disconnected half); it is faster and easier, and therefore less risk of complications both during and after surgery; but the procedure also entails this increased risk of long term discomfort.
Not a day passes that I don't regret calling a timeout, walking out of the doctor's office, and doing a little more research to locate a urologist who specializes in the silk stitch method.
Painless? I think not! I had pain for years on and off after having this done.
I suffered really bad pain and swelling for at least a couple of weeks after and it didn't feel "right" down there for years.
My doctor was shit. It was the worst pain of my life. Both sides.
Then I had nerve pain for like 5 years after.
It's not painless....
Source: My 20 years of pain
I’m about 8 weeks out from mine, and I’ve got a little more sensitivity too. A partner of mine typically likes grinding on top, and I haven’t been able to do that without discomfort. And the occasional ache from slapping in almost any position. It seems to be getting slowly better. But I’m trying to be prepared for it to never be quite the way it was before.
Painless?!? I've had two vasectomies. Still in mild chronic pain a year afterward. Suppose it's less painful than a fourth college tuition. Tuition #3 came (lol) between procedure #1 and #2. I hear I'm 1:1000 that fail the first time.
Yep I got more sensitive.

Did your balls become more sensitive too? Certain positions now, like doggy, I can’t pound my wife with balls slapping like I used to be able to. Now it hurts.
Mine did. And they seem to hang lower?
it isn't painless. chronic pain afterwards is somewhat common. I worked with a guy who had it, he could barely function without opiates due to the pain level he was in. only solution the docs had for him was to remove his testicles, which he didn't want to do.
I had pain for a year after mine. Getting the vasectomy reversed got rid of the pain 100%
I know a guy who says since he's had a vasectomy his orgasms are much less enjoyable. I've heard of other stories like this.
On the flip side some guys say it hasn't had that effect on them.
Yep, same exact thing here. Took almost two years to feel pretty much normal, and TBH I think they are still quite a bit more prone to pain than they used to be.
Totally worth it though.
Fuck you painless. This shit was terrible and made me useless for damn near 3 months.
Probably about a 8 or a 9. The local anesthetic did nothing for me. I couldn’t really walk. Didn’t get out of bed except to use the restroom. Took longer than advertised to recover.
Complications range from Infections, swelling, pain that may be sporadic or not go away over time.
I had a few symptoms I didn’t expect after.
One of my boys swelled to the size of a grapefruit. Happened twice over a 1 and a half year period.
I also have to be more conscious of how I sleep and need a pillow when I side sleep to elevate my leg. (Which is also just a good thing for sleep posture anyways).
The procedure seemed to hit a nerve which caused pain to shoot down my leg into the ball of my foot. Occasionally that comes back but that’s like pretty rare.
There is also this innocent question from Zikkan1:
How does this work? I mean the brain will still get the signals of stimulation from the penis which will eventually trigger ejaculation so wouldn't the the body still try to push out sperm but then the tubes are blocked. That doesn't seem healthy.
Can someone with a better understanding of this give a explanation?
And Keen_Eyed_Emissary you appear to have a fan:
You think this is bad, the Vasectomy subreddit is basically squatted on by one lifeless jackoff with three alts who spreads his FUD about the procedure at every available opportunity. And when pressed, he gleefully tells everyone how, after his two minutes of internet research to cherry pick studies, he decided to not get one and browbeat his wife into agreeing with him.
Shit like that is where I wonder what their angle is. What led this loser with no skin in the game at all to appoint themselves Captain Ballsaver and what is their real motive?
As for the comments here, everyone's different. Personally, I never felt any pain at any point after the initial shot. Discomfort, aching, annoyance, yeah, during recovery. But never anything I'd really consider to be pain. But for others, the experience may have been different altogether.

2022.01.25 17:21 Wasted-Entity Thinking about smoking DMT after a bad mushroom trip that has left me shaken. Wondering what you guys think?

About a month ago I had a terribly traumatising mushroom trip that left me pretty shaken. Since then I have been turned on massively to mindfulness meditation, I’m only 2 weeks in but I find it incredibly helpful. This is why I’ve kind of seen the bad mushroom trip as a positive, as if it wasn’t for that then I wouldn’t have started this meditative journey.
Anyway, the past couple days I’ve been incredibly anxious and have felt a ‘calling’ to go out to the woods and smoke some DMT. For what reason? I’m not quite sure. To right the wrong of my previous mushroom trip perhaps? I don’t know whether to trust my intuition and smoke some deemz or don’t as it might exaggerate my current anxious state even further.
What do you guys think?

2022.01.25 17:21 nanaimo London real estate: the market is terrible for buyers, but not everything is selling for $100k over asking.

This is not meant to downplay how bad the market is right now for buyers. It's bad.
But the situation is also being exploited by some realtors who are preying on people's anxieties to motivate them to overbid. They tell you that to compete with GTA buyers, you'd better be ready to bid $70-100k over asking on anything.
Before someone says #notallrealtors: sure, not all realtors. But this happened to my sister and a nearly identical house on her street recently sold for significantly less than what she paid a year ago. She was deliberately misled.
This is not a complete list, but here's some homes under $900k sold in the last 3 months:
