2022.01.25 16:09 httperror420334 How to use writing to text feature?

I’ve been trying to use good notes for my classes this semester and it’s frustrating me so bad. I’m using the text option but it doesn’t give me enough time to even finish writing my word so there are spaces in between them or it completely autocorrects to a different word and adds the next few letters to the end.
Is there a way to fix this?

2022.01.25 16:09 Redmanz512 Personal Injury lawyer wants to go to court

In peoples experience, is it worth the time to go to work over a personal injury case? At fault parties insurance will not come up on their offer, my lawyer does not think its fair and would like to suit the case. This will take a huge amount of time and the difference in what my lawyer thinks is fair vs my offer is not that large. What do y’all think? Thanks!

2022.01.25 16:09 Ill_Assistant_4141 Hold the Dark Recommendation/Analysis/Discussion

I just watched the best movie I’d seen in a long while, and was impassioned to write about it for two reasons: One to figure it out, and two it is criminally underrated.
5.6 IMDB 71% Rotten tomatoes with 33% user score.
What frustrates me about a lot of the positive critic reviews is even if they like the movie they say the writing or story is muddled. It makes me mad that someone whose job it is to study movies and write about them would dismiss a movie as layered and deep as this.
Disclaimer it is a difficult movie so if you didn’t like it that's fine. I do think this film is enjoyable and shocking on a surface level. It's beautiful and amazingly crafted, please keep an open mind and check it out if you haven’t.
There are more unanswered questions, but the big ones after a first viewing are:
What is wrong with the sky?
Is there mystical shit going on?
Then on a filmic level what is the movie trying to say?
I think maybe the first 2 add to the movie this unnerving mystery. The last one I always feel is more important. Not the “what is happening” but the “why it's being shown to me”.
The movie starts showing the kid putting a toy soldier into the snow and then disappearing. Later a possible explanation for the mother savaging her son is seeing the darkness in him, in her, and in the environment. It's told when the environment is tough wolf mothers savage(kill) their kids. There is a lot of emphasis on bad environments. It also juxtaposes Afghanistan I think with Alaska. Where tough environments breed unspeakable acts. It's said by Cheeon that kids are the future. I wonder if the mother wanted to kill the future. Nothing to look forward to out there. She also saw him following in his father’s footsteps of violence, maybe of becoming a soldier. Maybe she sees what the neglect of a father off to war does to a kid. There is a flashback where his father tells the boy it's okay to kill, and the boy said he enjoyed killing the animal.
There is nothing mystical at all about the soldier’s character development. Raised in a poor town then went to war. Got used to violence and came home to a violent situation and used his training to take control. At the end my theory is he sees the same thing in her as he does in himself. The environment had messed them up and they did horrible shit, and she is the only one he can relate to. Maybe this is him ending the cycle of violence instead of savaging his wife? It would also seem to me that Medora was hiding from the cops, not Vernon. Hiding in the spot they made romantic love in seems more like she was trying to reconnect with him.
The friend of the soldier, the angry Cheeon’s discussion with the cop is important. Now obviously the cops didn’t deserve death and this next part will come off very anti cop. The cops never do anything to help this village though. They don’t protect anyone. Their primary interest is in punishment, not solving the root cause. This also mimics sending the soldiers to Afghanistan. Giving villagers to the war, giving kids to the wolves. I guess they get plumbing and electricity, but their kids are dying. There is this theme of the environment taking away and not giving back.
The protagonist Russel Core gets to study behavior the whole movie. He sees wolves, he sees humans. He sees what neglect does to a wife, a village, Cheeon, wolves. At the end of the movie he finally gets to reconnect with his daughter, which he may have neglected in the past.
Even if you disagree with my conclusions there is a lot of tangible stuff you can think about while watching the film. All the major characters except the cops have complete arcs. Now let's theorize on the mystical shit. This is the stuff that makes me want to watch the film again because it feels like the answers are so close.
So there are two ways to look at the mystical stuff, real or fake. If it's fake, then any time they say wolves kill kids, or wolf demons, etc, they are talking about the environment or mental illness causing one of them to snap and kill someone. They are talking about bad mystical beliefs they are using to justify violent rituals. Hiding behind the wolf masks just makes killing easier. Russel Core’s theory on why Medora killed her kid and invited him are accurate, which is to say it was out of a harsh environment and she wanted to be punished by him. The wolves never attack because that is simply very rare.
If the magic is real, my theory is they see the wolves as gods and goddesses. When a villager does evil or wears a wolf mask it is a wolf spirit. Medora maybe wants Russel to kill her, and also sends him out to maybe kill the wolf controlling her? There is a lot of emphasis on the boots she gives him, and I almost wonder if they offer some protection against the wolves. The witches take them in the end. Vernon's childhood is a mystery as well. He was given wolf oil for some ailment? Then at the very end they might be able to resurrect the kid?
I still have no idea about the line repeated throughout the movie. “What is wrong with the sky?” They mention it gets dark fast there, but I don’t think that's it. It might be getting at something less concrete and more poetic. Any theories?

2022.01.25 16:09 tarooooooooooo EXTREMELY mild case so far. please tell me this is it & I can stop worrying? haha

I'm a 28 year old woman, active but overweight, 8 years vegan & triple vaccinated with Moderna (booster 11/3/21).
Thursday 1/20: my boyfriend doesn't feel very good and goes home early. his roommate has "strep" (spoiler: it's COVID) and he thinks that's what it is. I hang out with him that night, feeling normal myself.
Friday 1/21: my boyfriend tests positive. I still feel normal
Saturday 1/22: still completely normal, but at the end of the evening, my throat starts to hurt.
Sunday 1/23: I wake up with a very sore throat, I'm more tired than usual, and I'm coughing and sneezing a little bit. although I haven't gotten a test yet, it's obvious I have COVID. no thermometer so not sure if I have a temperature. my only symptoms are a sore throat, mild cough, occasional sneeze and a general feeling of illness, like when you're starting to catch a cold. took my dogs for a 15 minute stroll and felt fatigued afterwards. RHR is normally 61/62 but today it's 65.
Monday 1/24: wake up with a sore throat and a gravelly voice, coughing more than yesterday. go in to work to get a COVID test - it's positive, I go home. aside from the coughing, I feel fine. I don't feel very ill and my sore throat is completely alleviated with a cough drop. I am super dizzy after standing up from sitting or bending over, though. RHR still at 65. in the evening, I can't stop burping. it's like I've chugged three seltzer waters back to back.
Tuesday 1/25, today: sore throat feels just a little better, but I can feel a slight crackle in my lungs when I wake up, and I cough pretty hard for 10 minutes before getting out of bed. I'm still burping, lmao. other than that, I feel completely normal - not fatigued, no malaise, no symptoms but an irritated throat and a cough that's getting better. I didn't have a fever today or yesterday.
almost all the firsthand accounts I read on here are about terrible experiences. have any of you just had a short, mild illness that you completely recovered from? especially interested in hearing from youngish, active people who were able to get back to their active lives after COVID with no noticeable lingering symptoms.
